Artist's Description
An olive tree standing above Jerusalem at sunset in the form of SHIN. Jerusalem is in the shape of the Hebrew letter Shin (ש) the 21st letter of the Hebrew alphabet and it is the letter on all the Mazuzah’s in Israel which means doorpost. When you see that name by itself it stands for the name of God, either Shaddai, or El Shaddai. When the priests in the Old Testament would raise his hands to bless the people with the blessing of Numbers 6:24-26, he would put his thumbs together and open his hands to form the letter Shiyn twice. The blessing: “The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”
